We hired A & R Renovations to complete two bathroom renovations in an 100 year old house in Toronto. This was our first renovation project and Alex was helpful in walking us through the material selection process as well as giving suggestions for the projects. He is very knowledgeable and obviously takes a lot of pride in his work. We had A & R Renovations do two full bathroom renovations while we were on vacation in California. For many people, leaving a contractor to work on your home while you are away may be a scary thought. Alex made us feel very comfortable with what we would expect with the work quality and the overall workmanship. Alex saved pictures of the “behind the scenes” work to show us what he did and explained any issues thoroughly. We were pleasantly surprised when we came home to find two fully renovated bathrooms. There were some unexpected issues outside of what was initially negotiated, specifically some structural issues that Alex dealt with immediately and we were quoted fairly for this extra work. Finally, along with renovating our bathrooms, during these simultaneous projects, Alex went above and beyond in fixing other issues in the house including repairing damaged insulation in the attic, fixing an unfinished skylight and water damaged ceiling, and fixing a malfunctioning electrical switch at no extra charge!
